About Xfinity Mobile Arena Events

For Xfinity Mobile Arena tickets and general venue information, read below.

Xfinity Mobile Arena is the home of the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA and Philadelphia Flyers of the NHL, and was opened in 1996. The venue also plays host to the Villanova Wildcats men's college basketball team, and Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. Those four teams have combined to create a venue with plenty of championship caliber sports happening in it on a regular basis.

Philadelphia's basketball history is a storied one, and that legacy has lived through the Xfinity Mobile Arena with the 76ers and Villanova. The Sixers reached the NBA Finals in the 2001 season, where the Sixers lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. However, the performances of Allen Iverson were iconic, as the diminutive guard carried Philly to just a step away from an NBA championship. The best in the NBA also gathered in Philly in 2002 for the NBA All-Star Game.

In college basketball, Villanova has played plenty of big games in Xfinity Mobile Arena as a part-time occupant of the arena. When a game demands more seats than their on-campus facility has to offer, the team plays at the Xfinity Mobile Arena. This generally means that the best opponents Villanova plays at home will play them at this arena, in the most important games of the year.

Off the basketball court, the Xfinity Mobile Arena has been the home of high-level hockey thanks to the Flyers. The Flyers took part in the 1997 Stanley Cup Final, as well as the 2010 Final, with the Flyers finishing runner-up in the NHL in both years, losing in four games to the Detroit Red Wings in 1997 and to the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010.

Perhaps the most prolific champions to play in Xfinity Mobile Arena are the Philadelphia Soul, who have won several Arena Football League titles while calling the Xfinity Mobile Arena home.

The arena is also no stranger to high-profile concert and arts events, as it features some of the best shows the city has to offer.
