About Iron & Wine Tickets
Iron & Wine is the indie folk project of American singer-songwriter Sam Beam, known for hushed vocals, poetic lyrics, acoustic guitar melodies and a warm blend of folk, Americana, indie rock and country influences. Beam began making music under the Iron & Wine name while working as a film professor, recording early songs at home on a four-track recorder before his demos reached the wider indie music world. His 2002 debut album, The Creek Drank the Cradle, introduced Iron & Wine’s intimate lo-fi sound and helped establish Beam as one of the most distinctive voices in modern folk.
Iron & Wine’s career expanded with the 2004 album Our Endless Numbered Days, which featured “Naked as We Came” and brought Beam’s songwriting to a larger audience. He later reached even more listeners with “Such Great Heights,” his stripped-down cover of The Postal Service, and “Flightless Bird, American Mouth,” which became one of his most recognizable songs after appearing in a major film franchise. Albums such as The Shepherd’s Dog, Kiss Each Other Clean, Ghost on Ghost, Beast Epic, Light Verse and Hen’s Teeth show how Iron & Wine evolved from bedroom folk into lush, collaborative arrangements without losing Beam’s quiet emotional focus.
Career highlights for Iron & Wine include Grammy nominations, acclaimed albums, memorable soundtrack placements and decades of international touring. Sam Beam has collaborated with artists including Calexico and Ben Bridwell, while continuing to shape Iron & Wine into a project that can move between spare acoustic ballads, full-band folk rock, jazz-tinged arrangements and cinematic Americana. With the 2026 album Hen’s Teeth and a wide-ranging 2026 tour, Iron & Wine remains one of the most enduring and influential names in contemporary indie folk.
