Eric Church is an American country music singer-songwriter known for his distinctive blend of outlaw country, rock, and Southern roots. Born on May 3, 1977, in Granite Falls, North Carolina, Church began performing in local bars during his high school years. After earning a business degree from Appalachian State University, he moved to Nashville in 2001 to pursue a career in music. His debut album, Sinners Like Me (2006), introduced his signature sound, and he has since released several critically acclaimed albums, including Chief (2011), The Outsiders (2014), and Heart & Soul (2021).

Eric Church's latest album, Evangeline vs. The Machine, was released on May 2, 2025. The eight-track album, produced by longtime collaborator Jay Joyce, features songs like "Hands Of Time," "Darkest Hour," and "Evangeline." Church describes the album as a reflection on the tension between artistic creativity (Evangeline) and commercial pressures (The Machine). The release also included a special edition translucent light blue vinyl available through Amazon Music.
