What to expect at Zac Brown Band's Love & Fear tour: Setlist, start time and more

Jul 27, 2026

Zac Brown Band fans know better than to expect a night of straightforward country hits. “Chicken Fried” and “Colder Weather” are still there, but so are acoustic breakdowns, unexpected transitions and an encore that can bounce from Marvin Gaye to Sia to “Free Bird.”

The first two “Love & Fear” tour stops in Grand Rapids and Cleveland showed just how much the band is packing into the night. Seven new songs made the cut, the older favorites still got their moments and the cover-heavy finish gave fans a reason to stay planted after “Chicken Fried.”

Here is what the opening weekend revealed about the setlist, openers, show length, stage time and the rest of the tour.

Ultimate guide to Zac Brown Band's “Love & Fear” tour

The new tour finds Zac Brown Band doing what it does best, by mixing the songs fans came to hear with acoustic turns, unexpected covers and a closing stretch that can go just about anywhere.

What is the “Love & Fear” tour?

The “Love & Fear” tour supports Zac Brown Band’s eighth studio album, “Love & Fear,” which was released in December 2025. The announced headline run includes 27 dates from July 17 through November 21, visiting 25 cities across North America. Two-night stands at Forest Hills Stadium and Red Rocks Amphitheatre account for the difference between the date and city totals.

The first two dates took place in Grand Rapids on July 17 and Cleveland on July 18. From there, 25 headline concerts remain, ranging from Fenway Park and outdoor amphitheaters to enclosed arenas. The band also has an August 6 appearance at the XRoads41 Music Festival in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, which is separate from the headline itinerary.

Who is opening for Zac Brown Band on the “Love & Fear” tour?

The rotating support lineup gives each stretch of the tour a slightly different feel before Zac Brown Band takes the stage.

Old Crow Medicine Show opens the next five headline dates, beginning in Albany and continuing through Columbia. The Grammy-winning string band’s roots-driven sound makes it one of the most natural pairings on the tour.

Grace Potter picks up the support role for the Forest Hills and Philadelphia dates in late August, then returns for shows in October and the final three dates in November. Her blues-rock sound and powerhouse vocals bring a harder edge to those nights.

Brothers Osborne opens the September concerts in Kansas City, St. Louis, Charleston and Tampa before returning for Minneapolis, Sioux Falls, Buffalo and Detroit. The CMA-winning duo brings plenty of guitar-heavy country rock, but their set should still feel distinct from what Zac Brown Band does later in the night.

No opener is currently listed for the September 19 concert at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida.

Zac Brown Band “Love & Fear” tour setlist

The first two tour stops featured the same songs through “Chicken Fried,” so fans already have a pretty good idea of what may remain in the show.

The concert moves through two main sets, including an acoustic section in the middle, before ending with a long encore full of covers. Grand Rapids also opened with Pink Floyd’s “Goodbye Blue Sky,” which did not appear in the Cleveland setlist.

The setlist below includes every song performed at both shows. The order, covers and a few individual songs may still change from city to city.

What songs from “Love & Fear” does Zac Brown Band perform?

Seven songs from Love & Fear appeared during both opening concerts: "Give It Away," "Hard Run," "I Ain't Worried About It," "What You Gonna Do," "Let It Run," "The Sum" and "Animal." That gives the current album a meaningful role in the show without allowing it to fully overtake the older hits.

Does Zac Brown Band play older hits?

Yes. The opening setlists included “Chicken Fried,” “Colder Weather,” “Toes,” “Knee Deep,” “Keep Me in Mind,” “Free,” “As She’s Walking Away,” “Sweet Annie,” “Homegrown” and “Loving You Easy.”

“Chicken Fried” closed the main portion of both concerts, giving the band its biggest singalong before the show moved into a less predictable encore.

Is there an encore at Zac Brown Band's "Love & Fear" tour?

Yes, and it is much more extensive than a standard one- or two-song encore. Both opening concerts ended with a rapid-fire medley of covers that moved across classic rock, soul, pop and alternative music.

The Grand Rapids medley included songs associated with Joe Walsh, Marvin Gaye, the Eagles, Beck, the Box Tops, Bad Bunny, Sia, John Mellencamp, the Outfield and Don McLean before the band finished with Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird.”

Cleveland received a slightly different sequence, with “Let’s Get It On” replacing some of the Grand Rapids selections. The show still moved through songs including “Heartache Tonight,” “Loser,” “The Letter,” “Chandelier,” “Pink Houses,” “Your Love” and “American Pie” before ending with “Free Bird.”

The encore runs through the covers as one long medley instead of playing each song in full. It still feels like a whole extra part of the show, so heading for the exits after “Chicken Fried” means missing a lot.

What time does Zac Brown Band go on stage?

Most remaining concerts are listed for 7 p.m., but that is the opener’s stage time rather than Zac Brown Band’s. Fitz and the Tantrums began at 7 p.m. at the Grand Rapids tour opener.

Based on a typical opening set, changeover and Zac Brown Band’s reported two-hour-and-15-minute show, the band will likely take the stage around 8:30 to 8:45 p.m. at dates with one opener. That remains an estimate rather than an official nightly schedule, and the timing may change depending on the venue and support act.

Treat the listed event time as the beginning of the full concert and arrive by then if you want to see Old Crow Medicine Show, Grace Potter or Brothers Osborne. For the September 19 Hollywood show, where no opener is currently listed, Zac Brown Band may begin much closer to the printed 8 p.m. time.

How long is a Zac Brown Band concert?

Based on the first two tour dates, the Zac Brown Band portion currently averages approximately two hours and 15 minutes. That figure comes from a very small sample and may change as more shows are played, but it supports the band’s reputation for delivering a longer set than many arena headliners.

With an opener, security, merchandise lines and the walk back out after the show, fans should plan on spending about four hours at the venue, and longer if parking or post-show traffic is heavy.

What is the "Love & Fear" tour production like?

Opening-weekend coverage describes the touring show as carrying visual ideas from the band’s “Love & Fear” residency at Sphere into more traditional venues. That does not mean arenas receive the Sphere’s wraparound screen experience, but concert photography from Cleveland shows a wide stage, large video surfaces and layered lighting built around the full band.

When should I arrive for Zac Brown Band's concert?

Getting there 60 to 90 minutes before the listed start time gives you enough room for parking, security and food before the opener. At outdoor dates and larger venues like Fenway Park, Merriweather Post Pavilion and Red Rocks, having that additional time matters more because entry can take longer.

What should I bring to Zac Brown Band's concert?

Start with your mobile ticket loaded on a charged phone. A venue-approved bag, ID, payment card and earplugs cover most other needs. Outdoor dates may call for sunscreen, a light layer for after sunset or a poncho if rain is possible.

Check the venue policy for your specific date rather than assuming one stop's rules apply everywhere. Camera policies, bag sizes and water-bottle rules can change from arena to amphitheater.

What should fans wear to the "Love & Fear" tour?

Band tees, denim, boots, sneakers, flannels and lightweight layers all work. There is no tour-specific dress code, and the crowd tends toward comfortable over dressed up.

For the October Red Rocks dates and the late-fall shows in November, bring layers and check the forecast. Conditions can feel very different by the time the encore ends than they did when you arrived.

Is the “Love & Fear” tour good for younger fans?

The mix of recognizable hits, acoustic songs and energetic covers can work well for families, but there is no single age policy across the tour. Confirm restrictions with the specific venue before purchasing tickets.

The current Zac Brown Band set runs approximately two hours and 15 minutes and begins after the opener on most dates, creating a relatively late night for younger attendees. Hearing protection, assigned seating and a planned meeting or exit location can make the experience easier.
