What to expect at Karol G’s Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour: Setlist, start time and more

Aug 3, 2026

·

Mary Callahan

The guacamaya is one of the first signs that Karol G is not trying to top her last tour by doing the same thing bigger. During “Papasito,” she rides above the stage on a giant tropical bird, one of several production choices that turn “VIAJANDO POR EL MUNDO TROPITOUR” into a full stadium spectacle rather than a simple run through the hits.

After two opening shows at Soldier Field, plus dates in Toronto and Washington, D.C., the tour is not as much of a mystery anymore. Fans now know the night includes a five-act show filled with mariachi, salsa, reggaeton, fireworks, water and music from across Karol G's career.

The basic framework has remained consistent, but Karol G is not delivering an identical concert every night. Chicago got the live debut of “Viajando Por El Mundo,” previews of new music and spontaneous a cappella additions. Toronto added the tour debut of “Después de ti,” brought Becky G out for “MAMIII” and ended with “PROVENZA.” Northwest Stadium featured another Becky G appearance and the live debut of the unreleased “Mientale Por Favor.”

Ultimate guide to Karol G’s “VIAJANDO POR EL MUNDO TROPITOUR”

From when Karol G takes the stage to which songs and surprises have already changed, here is what the tour’s first four concerts reveal about the “TROPITOUR” experience.

What is Karol G’s “VIAJANDO POR EL MUNDO TROPITOUR?"

“Viajando Por El Mundo” translates to “Traveling the World,” an appropriate name for a tour scheduled to run across North America, Latin America and Europe. It supports Karol G’s 2025 album Tropicoqueta, but the concert stretches across several eras of her catalog.

The North American leg opened July 24 and 25 at Soldier Field, with the upcoming schedule continuing through October 15, including multi-night stops at SoFi Stadium, Levi’s Stadium, Sun Bowl Stadium, MetLife Stadium and Hard Rock Stadium.

Who is opening for Karol G on the “VIAJANDO POR EL MUNDO TROPITOUR”?

Elena Rose, Becky G and Greeicy are the rotating openers across the North American leg.

Elena Rose opened both Soldier Field concerts and is scheduled for Las Vegas, the first SoFi Stadium night, Gillette Stadium, the first MetLife Stadium night, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the first Hard Rock Stadium night, Raymond James Stadium and AT&T Stadium. The Venezuelan singer-songwriter brings a more intimate, vocal-driven mix of Latin pop and reggaeton, along with the songwriting talent that has led to collaborations with artists including Shakira, Rauw Alejandro and Daddy Yankee.

Becky G opened in Toronto before returning during Karol G’s set for “MAMIII.” She also made an unannounced appearance for the song at Northwest Stadium. Scheduled for the second SoFi Stadium night, both Levi’s Stadium dates, Lumen Field, the Alamodome, both Sun Bowl Stadium shows and the second MetLife Stadium night, Becky G brings the biggest collection of familiar hits among the openers, moving between pop, reggaeton and regional Mexican music.

Greeicy is scheduled for the third SoFi Stadium night and the second Hard Rock Stadium show. The Colombian singer and dancer brings Latin pop, tropical rhythms and a movement-heavy performance style that fits naturally into the colorful Tropicoqueta world.

What time does Karol G go on stage?

Karol G has taken the stage between 8:40 and 9:05 p.m. at the early shows with reported timing. Exact timing can still vary by venue, but the listed 7 p.m. time marks the start of the full concert rather than Karol G’s entrance..

Even if you are skipping some of the opening act, arrive early enough to account for parking, security and the walk to your seats.

How long is a Karol G concert?

Karol G’s set runs about 90 minutes to two hours.

Fans can expect roughly 25 to 30 recognizable songs and song snippets, though not all of them are performed in full. Some are shortened, folded into medleys or used during dance breaks, while videos, costume changes and other production moments connect the show’s five acts.

From the opener through the final song and the stadium exit afterward, plan on spending about four to five hours at the concert.

What changed between Karol G’s first four shows?

The first Soldier Field concert was the longest and most experimental of the reported opening run. It included “EL MAKINÓN,” “200 COPAS” and “Milagros,” plus the live debut of “Viajando Por El Mundo” and a preview of “MATADORA.”

The second Chicago show removed “EL MAKINÓN,” “Milagros” and several interludes. Karol G instead sang shortened a cappella debuts of “FKN Movie” and “Cuando Me Muera Te Olvido,” followed by part of “Amiga Mía.” “Viajando Por El Mundo” served as the final full song.

Toronto promoted “Amiga Mía” into the main set, added the tour debut of “Después de ti” and featured Becky G during “MAMIII.” “PROVENZA” returned as the final song, with elements of its Tiësto remix. Karol G also used the night to announce No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto and its August 7 release.

Northwest Stadium kept the established opening and B-stage runs but changed the mariachi portion again. “200 COPAS” remained out, Becky G appeared for “MAMIII” and Karol G debuted the unreleased “Mientale Por Favor.” The final run included “Coleccionando Heridas,” “Viajando Por El Mundo,” “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” and “PROVENZA.”

Four concerts are still a limited sample, but the pattern is becoming clear, with the biggest production moments and most of the setlist staying the same.

Does Karol G play older hits?

Yes, although the set leans heavily toward Tropicoqueta and the Mañana Será Bonito era.

Fans still get “MAMIII,” “Pineapple,” “GATÚBELA,” “AMARGURA,” “TQG,” “BICHOTA,” “Tusa” and, at some shows, “PROVENZA” and “200 COPAS.” However, several hits do not sound exactly like their studio recordings. “GATÚBELA” includes pieces of Daddy Yankee’s “Rompe.” “BICHOTA” has been reworked with cumbia and salsa influences, while “Tusa” receives a salsa arrangement.

Is there an encore at Karol G’s “TROPITOUR” concert?

The first four shows have not featured a traditional encore in which Karol G leaves the stage for an extended period and returns after the crowd calls her back.

Instead, the fifth act builds through “BICHOTA,” “Tusa” and the emotional Tropicoqueta material before reaching a closing song.

What is the “TROPITOUR” production like?

The concert unfolds across five acts, a huge main stage and a second stage built around a pool. The main set looks like a glowing tropical cave, with multiple levels and long runways that bring Karol G closer to different parts of the stadium.

The biggest moment comes during “Papasito,” when she flies above the crowd on a giant guacamaya. Later, she and her dancers move to the water stage for “Dile Luna,” “Bandida Entrenada” and “OJOS FERRARI.” Fireworks, confetti and quick costume changes keep the show moving from one oversized moment to the next.

A mariachi section changes the mood before songs such as “Ese Hombre Es Malo,” “200 COPAS” and “MAMIII,” depending on the night. “BICHOTA” and “Tusa” also return in new cumbia- and salsa-inspired versions near the end.

Where does Karol G perform during the concert?

Karol G moves all over the production. She performs on different levels of the main stage, walks the long runways, flies above the crowd on the guacamaya and heads to the water-covered B-stage during the third act.

Seats near the runways or B-stage give fans more chances to see her up close. A centered lower-bowl section offers a wider view of the full show, including the cave set, water stage, fireworks and choreography.

Check the stadium map before buying, since the runway and B-stage setup can vary slightly by venue.

What should you bring to a Karol G concert?

Start with a fully charged phone and your mobile ticket already saved in the appropriate app or mobile wallet. A portable charger is useful for a night that may begin in the late afternoon and continue well past 11 p.m., provided the device complies with your stadium’s prohibited-items policy.

Bring an accepted cashless payment method and wear shoes that can handle the walk from parking or public transportation, standing through the opener and dancing during Karol G’s set.

Earplugs are also worth packing. The production uses fireworks, pyrotechnics and heavy stadium sound, and the crowd can become nearly as loud as the music during songs such as “Tusa,” “MAMIII” and “PROVENZA.”

Bag rules differ between stadiums. Check the official policy for your particular date rather than assuming every venue follows the same clear-bag standard.

What should fans wear to a Karol G concert?

The Tropicoqueta look is all about going bright and bold. Tropical colors, flowers, sparkle, feathers and dramatic accessories all fit right in.

For the hotter stops in Las Vegas, California, Arizona and Texas, lighter outfits will be more comfortable. Northeast shows later in the run may call for an extra layer once the sun goes down, so check the forecast before getting dressed.

Is Karol G’s “TROPITOUR” good for younger fans?

Families and younger listeners are clearly part of Karol G’s audience, but this remains a late and loud show.

Based on the earlier reported stage times, a Karol G performance lasting around 90 minutes to two hours can therefore continue until roughly 10:30 or 11 p.m., with additional time needed to exit the stadium.

Ear protection is a smart choice for children because the concert includes fireworks and loud bass. Assigned lower-bowl seats may also work better for families than a crowded floor area, especially if a younger fan needs a clearer view or a place to sit between songs.

Parents should review the specific stadium’s age, bag and entry rules and plan the trip home before arriving.
