The B-52s and Devo reunite for "Cosmic De-Evolution Tour" 2026: Dates, cities and tickets

If you thought you had missed your chance to see The B-52s and Devo share a stage, the “Cosmic De-Evolution Tour” just reopened the door. The two new wave pioneers are teaming up again in 2026 for a limited co-headlining run, bringing together The B-52s’ dance-rock party anthems and Devo’s sharp, theatrical art-rock for one of the year’s most distinctive double bills.

The B-52s, the band behind “Love Shack,” “Rock Lobster,” “Roam” and “Private Idaho,” return to the road after earlier farewell-era shows led many fans to wonder how many more chances they would have to see them live. Devo, whose catalog includes “Whip It,” “Girl U Want,” “Freedom of Choice” and “Mongoloid,” brings its own legacy of satire, precision and visual spectacle to the co-headlining dates.

Before the B-52s and Devo team up in the fall, The B-52s also have standalone 2026 dates in Freehold, NJ and Lincoln, CA. The co-headlining "Cosmic De-Evolution Tour" begins in September and runs through Halloween night, with DJ Cummerbund opening the B-52s/Devo shows.

What to expect at The B-52s and Devo "Cosmic De-Evolution Tour"

This is a high-energy dance party meets art-rock spectacle. Plan to be on your feet from the first note.

The B-52s bring a deep catalog of hits — 'Love Shack,' 'Rock Lobster,' 'Roam,' 'Deadbeat Club' and 'Private Idaho' — delivered with the joyful, inclusive energy the band has carried across four decades. On the co-headlining dates, Devo matches that intensity with theatrical, satirical performance built around 'Whip It,' 'Girl U Want,' 'Freedom of Choice' and 'Mongoloid,' all delivered with the visually striking staging and iconic energy dome hats that have defined their live shows.

Both bands are known for colorful, high-concept production, so the visuals and staging at co-headlining stops will likely be a step above a typical amphitheater show. Co-headlining nights could run 2.5 to 3 hours total.

A few things worth knowing if you're going: DJ Cummerbund is worth arriving early for on co-headlining dates. Costumes are encouraged, especially for the October 30 and October 31 shows. Merch lines at amphitheater shows tend to move quickly early and slow down closer to showtime, so getting there with some extra time helps. Encores from both headliners are likely on the co-headlining nights.
