Philadelphia-based band SNACKTIME will join Lake Street Dive as the special guest on 14 of the 15 announced tour dates.
The only exception is the Saturday, March 6, performance at Peace Concert Hall in Greenville, South Carolina. That show is billed as “An Evening With Lake Street Dive” and does not list SNACKTIME as an opener.
SNACKTIME brings fans to a Philadelphia-based, brass-driven band known for mixing funk, soul, jazz, hip-hop and rock.
Originally formed as a street-performance ensemble, SNACKTIME developed a reputation for lively horn arrangements, improvisational energy and high-impact performances. Its groove-heavy sound makes the group a natural fit for Lake Street Dive’s soulful and musically adventurous tour.
Fans hoping to see both acts should plan to arrive before the advertised headliner time and check the event listing for venue-specific performance details.
Lake Street Dive’s ninth studio album, What About Flamingos?, is scheduled for release Friday, Feb. 19, 2027, through the band’s independent label, Dive Not Drive Records.
The 12-track album follows 2024’s Good Together and takes a more immediate approach to the recording process. Instead of tracking the instruments and vocals separately, the band recorded together live in the studio, emphasizing the interplay and spontaneity that define its concerts.
The album was recorded at two studios with producers Philip Weinrobe at Spillway Sounds in West Hurley, New York, and Jonathan Wilson at Five Star Studios in Topanga Canyon, California.
Lake Street Dive introduced the project with “You’re Never Around,” followed by the title track, “What About Flamingos?” The album also includes “Gertrude,” a collaboration with horn ensemble Huntertones.
The title track, written by bassist Bridget Kearney, reflects on the extraordinary nature of everyday life and the importance of appreciating the people and experiences around us.
With the album arriving one week before opening night, the 2027 tour should give fans an early opportunity to hear the new material live.
Lake Street Dive has built its live reputation on vibrant performances, layered vocal harmonies and a fluid blend of soul, jazz, pop, rock and R&B.
Led by vocalist Rachael Price, the band combines intricate musicianship with an inviting sound that can move from upbeat dance grooves to intimate ballads. The group’s chemistry is especially apparent onstage, where tightly arranged songs can open up into instrumental interplay and spontaneous moments.
The band’s catalog includes favorites such as “Good Kisser,” “Hypotheticals,” “Better Than,” “Call Off Your Dogs” and “You Go Down Smooth,” alongside newer material from Good Together and the upcoming What About Flamingos?
