If you spend all week looking forward to a Sunday full of football action, you’ve probably considered buying season tickets to your favorite NFL team.

Season tickets are a fantastic way for die-hard NFL fans to take in as much live football as possible each year. If you’re a Chicago Bears devotee and interested in purchasing season tickets, we have you covered with everything you need to know to get your hand on those coveted seats.

Benefits of Season Tickets

Before we get into our guide on how to buy season tickets for the Bears, we thought we’d do a quick rundown of the benefits of having season tickets.

Price Stability

Season tickets are a flat fee per game, so you won’t have to pay extra money for games that have increased importance or higher demand

Access to Playoff tickets

Season ticket holders are given the first right of refusal for playoff tickets before they go on sale to the general public

NFL Perks

The league offers a few perks of its own to season ticket holders, including free access to NFL RedZone, a discount at the NFL’s online shop and access to the league’s Ticket Exchange

Team Perks

The Bears have a unique system of perks for their season ticket holders, which is called STH Experiences. Fans can accumulate points based on tenure (how long they’ve been a season ticket holder) in addition to getting a certain amount of points for owning season tickets. These points can be redeemed for team experiences where fans can be in the tunnel as the team walks out to the field, attending minicamp practices and much more.

How to Purchase Bears Season Tickets

The Bears use a combination of two different ticketing methods as they allow fans to purchase season tickets via the team’s season ticket priority list as well as through permanent seat licenses (PSLs).

Season Ticket Priority List Method

Fans that are interested in buying season tickets without having to pay extra money for a PSL can do so by joining the Bears priority list, which is essentially just a waitlist. Those who are interested in buying tickets through this method may do so online through the Bears website here

The Bears require a $100 per seat deposit to join the waiting list. The deposit is credited toward the cost of season tickets once they become available for purchase. The priority list has a significant amount of people on it currently, and it can take up to 15 years to get season tickets through this method. Season tickets from the priority list are also non-transferable.

Permanent Seat Licenses

If waiting 15 years to get Bears tickets isn’t something you’re interested in doing, and you have a bit of extra cash, you can purchase season tickets through the Bears permanent seat license marketplace

By purchasing a personal seat license from another individual, you then can buy season tickets immediately without waiting. The price of each PSL is set individually by the seller, and there are currently over 135 listings on the Bears Marketplace. One thing worth mentioning is that you still must pay for the tickets, as the PSL does not include the cost of buying the tickets from the Bears.
