There’s nothing like a trip to the ballpark to check out your favorite teams and players. But getting some cool merch along the way certainly doesn’t hurt, either.

MLB teams routinely knock promotional giveaways out of the park (pun very much intended) all throughout the year. The month of April is packed with some elite giveaways from bobbleheads to themed nights and much, much more.

Top MLB promotions and giveaways for April 2026

With SeatGeek serving as the Official Ticket Marketplace of MLB, here are some of the most intriguing giveaways for April that you should plan your trip to the ballpark around.

Mascot Mania

Who doesn’t love mascots? Baseball’s franchises certainly have some memorable ones, and there are quite a few promotions centered around these friendly faces this month.

Philadelphia Phillies: Colonial Phanatic bobblehead (fans 14 and under) – April 12 against Arizona Diamondbacks

Happy birthday to one of the most iconic mascots in all of sports, the Phillie Phanatic! The Phillies will celebrate the occasion with a Phanatic bobblehead giveaway for all fans 14 and under, with the Phanatic decked out in Colonial Era garb.

Athletics: Stomper plush hat (all fans) – April 19 against Chicago White Sox

Stomper is one of baseball’s more underappreciated mascots, in my opinion, as the lovable elephant is just that – a lovable elephant. One of the A’s first giveaways of the year highlights Stomper with a plush hat for all fans to take home.

Colorado Rockies: Dinger Day hat (special ticket package) – April 19 against Los Angeles Dodgers

The Rockies will celebrate their dinosaur mascot Dinger with Dinger Day on April 19, where he will host other mascot friends for what the team calls “the biggest party of the year.” To get this hat, which includes a set of horns, you must purchase a special ticket package. This package gets you not just the Dinger hat, but entry to a pre-game party and picnic featuring Dinger and other mascots.

New York Mets: Mr Met at Unisphere bobblehead (first 18,000 fans) – April 25 against Colorado Rockies

The Mets have not one, but two amazing mascots in Mr. and Mrs. Met, and it’s Mr. Met who is the star of one of the team’s most unique giveaways of the year as he gets his own bobblehead. Not only is Mr. Met on his own bobblehead, it’s with him beside New York’s famous Unisphere, giving this giveaway some additional New York flair.

St. Louis Cardinals: Fredbird mascot HOF ring (first 10,000 fans 12 and under) – April 26 against Seattle Mariners

Congrats to longtime Cardinals mascot Fredbird on his induction into the Mascot Hall of Fame last year! To celebrate the occasion, the Cardinals are giving out Fredbird Hall of Fame rings to the first 10,000 fans 12 and under, which look an awful lot like a championship ring.

These promos are certainly unique

Seattle Mariners: Kingdome fanny pack hat (first 10,000 fans) – April 17 against Texas Rangers

Are fanny packs back? It’s not my place to make that sort of declaration, but the Mariners are bringing them back in a unique way as with a fanny pack hat that pays homage to the franchise’s former stadium, the Kingdome. And yes, you can actually put stuff inside the fanny pack hat.

Houston Astros: Ice cream bucket hat (first 10,000 fans) – April 18 against St. Louis Cardinals

Bucket hats have been making a resurgence in recent years, and the Astros have a special one in store with their ice cream hat, which features the team’s color scheme with some melting orange ice cream, a blue waffle cone look and sprinkles, because you have to have sprinkles. The first 10,000 fans on April 18 get to take home this intriguing design.

San Francisco Giants: Brandon Belt Aloha shirt (first 20,000 fans) – April 25 against Miami Marlins

Giveaways featuring franchise icons are always a hot commodity, and this one is certainly fun with a Brandon Belt Aloha shirt. The first 20,000 fans will receive this Hawaiian-style shirt with the former star first baseman’s face, number 9 as well as a big “C” as he was nicknamed “Captain.” Heck, the shirt also leans into his “Baby Giraffe” nickname.

Cleveland Guardians: Mystery Hot Dog golf club cover (special ticket package) – April 27 against Tampa Bay Rays

This one isn’t a piece of clothing, but it sure does stand out. If you haven’t seen a Guardians home game, you may not know that they have a Hot Dog Derby where hot dog mascots featuring four condiments – ketchup, mustard, onion and spicy mustard – race along the warning track. With a special ticket on April 27, fans will receive a golf club cover featuring one of these four mascots. Which one will you get? That’s part of the fun!

Fun one for the kids

Kansas City Royals: Bobby Mitt Jr. sliding glove (first 5,000 fans 14 and under) – April 12 against Chicago White Sox

Ballclubs regularly give away gear like gloves, sunglasses and even bats to its youngest fans as they begin their baseball journeys, but the Royals are giving away a piece of gear that’s relatively new in a sliding glove, affectionately referred to as the “Bobby Mitt Jr.” sliding glove for the first 5,000 fans 14 and under.

Say hello to Hello Kitty

Los Angeles Dodgers: Hello Kitty hoodie (first 40,000 fans) – April 13 against New York Mets

Hello Kitty has been popular forever, and it seems like every MLB team has some sort of Hello Kitty night every season. The two-time defending champs will highlight the lovable cat and her friends on April 13, with the first 40,000 fans in attendance receiving a Hello Kitty hoodie.

At a ballpark (not) far, far away

Star Wars nights are always a fun time to be at the ballpark, and these two April giveaways are excellent for your favorite baseball fan who’s also a Star Wars nut.

Los Angeles Angels: Mandalorian & Grogu jersey (first 25,000 fans) – April 17 against San Diego Padres

The success of Disney’s “The Mandalorian” series has resulted in “The Mandalorian & Grogu” movie coming out on May 22, and the Angels are giving away a special jersey featuring the iconic duo on April 17. The first 25,000 fans in attendance will have the perfect outfit to wear when checking out the movie in theaters or parading around Disneyland.

Atlanta Braves: Matt Olson Star Wars bobblehead (special ticket package) – April 24 against Philadelphia Phillies

Speaking of “The Mandalorian,” the Braves are giving away a special Matt Olson bobblehead where he takes the place of the titular character, complete with a removable helmet. The star slugger is featured alongside Grogu in a unique giveaway that requires a special ticket package on April 24.

Cards, meet bobbleheads

Two of the most collectible souvenirs and pieces of memorabilia that baseball fans can collect are baseball cards and bobbleheads. Well, why not both? These three giveaways combine the two souvenirs in a unique and fun way.

Boston Red Sox: Roman Anthony rookie card bobblehead (first 7,500 fans) – April 6 against Milwaukee Brewers

Fresh off a great rookie campaign and excellent showing in the World Baseball Classic, Roman Anthony gets his first bobblehead giveaway day as a member of the Red Sox on April 6. This bobblehead resembles his rookie card, and the Sox are only giving away 7,500, making this one of the team’s more notable giveaways of the season.

Milwaukee Brewers: Jacob Misiorowski trading card bobblehead (first 25,000 fans) – April 11 against Washington Nationals

Like the Red Sox, the Brewers are highlighting a second-year star in Jacob Misiorowski, the hard-throwing right-hander who burst onto the scene as a rookie last season. The first 25,000 fans to visit American Family Field on April 11 will receive a Misiorowski trading card bobblehead, complete with flames that go well with his elite fastball.

Texas Rangers: Pudge Rodriguez card bobblehead (first 10,000 fans) – April 22 against Pittsburgh Pirates

While the Sox and Brewers are doing card bobbleheads for young stars, the Rangers are throwing it back with a franchise icon in Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, who stars in this bobblehead giveaway on April 22 for the first 10,000 fans. The Hall of Fame and MVP catcher shares a big fist pump in this awesome promotion.

Nods to MLB history

Chicago Cubs: Ben Zobrist bobblehead (first 10,000 fans) – April 11 against Pittsburgh Pirates

The Cubs celebrate the 10th anniversary of their 2016 World Series team, which famously ended their 108-year title drought. Chicago had plenty of heroes in that series, with Ben Zobrist earning World Series MVP honors thanks in large part to his go-ahead RBI double in extra innings in Game 7. A bobblehead in Zobrist’s likeness will be a hot-ticket item on April 11, with the former All-Star pointing to the sky like he did after that historic hit.

Pittsburgh Pirates: Paul Skenes Cy Young bobblehead (all fans) – April 18 against Tampa Bay Rays

The Pirates have arguably the best starting pitcher in baseball in Paul Skenes, and all he did after a historic Rookie of the Year campaign in 2024 was win National League Cy Young honors in 2025. To celebrate the occasion and the hard-throwing right-hander, the Pirates are giving a Skenes Cy Young bobblehead to every fan in attendance at PNC Park on April 18.

Cincinnati Reds: Team HOF throw blanket + induction ceremony – April 25 against Detroit Tigers

The Reds will induct four new members into their team Hall of Fame on April 25 with Lou Piniella, Reggie Sanders, Brandon Phillips and Aaron Harang joining the likes of Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Barry Larkin and Ken Griffey Jr. In addition to getting to see these four franchise icons join the team Hall of Fame, all fans in attendance will get a team Hall of Fame throw blanket, which features the names of Piniella, Sanders, Phillips and Harang.

MLB hockey jerseys reign supreme in April

Detroit Tigers: Hockey jersey giveaway (while supplies last) – April 11 against Miami Marlins

New York Yankees: Hockey jersey (first 18,000 fans) – April 17 against Kansas City Royals

Washington Nationals: City Connect hockey jersey (first 20,000 fans) – April 18 against San Francisco Giants

Blue Jays: Ernie Clement hockey jersey (first 15,000 fans) – April 27 against Boston Red Sox

Hockey jerseys – or sweaters, as they’re commonly referred to – are, simply put, awesome. This season will see many of MLB’s teams combine their iconic looks and the style of hockey jerseys, with the Tigers, Yankees, Nationals and Blue Jays all giving away team hockey sweaters in April. The Nationals’ jersey is in the style of their blossom-themed City Connect jerseys while the Jays’ giveaway has Ernie Clement’s last name and number 22 on the back.
