About Welcome to Rockville Tickets
Welcome to Rockville is one of America’s premier rock and metal festivals, known for its high-energy lineups and massive crowds. It was founded in 2011 by Danny Wimmer Presents, a production company that specializes in destination rock festivals. Originally held at Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville, Florida, the festival was launched to fill a void in the Southeast's heavy music scene and quickly gained a loyal following. With its strong ties to active rock radio and a growing network of partner festivals, Rockville established itself as a must-attend event in the spring festival circuit.
Over the years, Welcome to Rockville has grown exponentially. In 2019, the festival moved from Jacksonville to the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach to accommodate larger crowds and more expansive production. This relocation allowed for a multi-stage setup, camping options and a broader range of experiences for attendees. The festival routinely draws over 150,000 fans and has hosted major acts such as Metallica, Slipknot, Guns N' Roses, Foo Fighters, Tool and Avenged Sevenfold. Its commitment to top-tier rock and metal acts, along with rising artists, has earned it critical acclaim and fan devotion.
One of Rockville's defining moments came in 2021 when Metallica played two unique headlining sets on separate nights—a first in the festival’s history. In subsequent years, the festival expanded to a four-day format, further solidifying its reputation as a marathon celebration of hard rock culture. Welcome to Rockville continues to evolve, blending legacy acts with newer genre-defying performers, and has become a key part of the U.S. rock festival landscape. Its 2025 edition promises even more iconic performances, with a continued focus on immersive fan experiences, food, art and community engagement.
Welcome to Rockville is a massive annual rock and metal music festival featuring some of the biggest names in the genre. It’s produced by Danny Wimmer Presents and is known for its high-energy atmosphere, four-day lineup and immersive fan experiences.
The festival takes place at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. It was previously held in Jacksonville before relocating in 2019 to accommodate growing crowds and expand the festival experience.
Welcome to Rockville will take place May 7-10, 2026.
Yes! Rockville offers several camping options, including car camping, RV spaces and premium glamping. Camping passes are sold separately and provide convenient access to the festival grounds.
The official Welcome to Rockville 2026 lineup has not been released yet, but past years have included headliners like Metallica, Slipknot, Foo Fighters, Tool, and Avenged Sevenfold. The lineup is usually announced several months in advance, often in fall or winter.
