I tested positive for Covid one day before I was scheduled to see a show I had been looking forward to for a long time. I called support and at 10 pm on a Monday they were able to transfer my tickets to the same seats the following month, to a date of my choosing. Trey Kennedy is a comedian, actor, and content creator from Edmond, Oklahoma. He got his start while attending Oklahoma State University, where he studied business and eventually earned an MBA. During college, he began posting short comedy and singing videos on Vine, catching attention for his impressions, sketches, and observational humor. When Vine shut down, he pivoted to other social media platforms — YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok — carrying over his style of clean, family-friendly comedy that often pokes fun at everyday life, middle schoolers, moms, and relatable situations.
Over time, Trey built a large online following. Some of his early viral bits include videos mocking typical “middle schooler” behavior and scripted sketches about moms, which racked up millions of views. He released an EP called Take Me to the River in 2016, showing that he’d also been exploring singing alongside comedy. He also launched the podcast Correct Opinions with Trey Kennedy in 2019, co-hosted with his collaborator Jake Triplett and his wife, where he expands beyond sketches to commentary, interviews, and broader conversations.
In terms of live performance, he has taken his comedy on the road with multiple tours, selling out theaters across the U.S. He produced a stand-up comedy special called Are You For Real? which is available to stream, and he released a web series called Middle School Maddox, in which he plays a younger version of himself, spoofing middle school life.
