SPRINTS is a Dublin-based band formed in 2019, blending elements of garage punk and post-punk. The current lineup includes Karla Chubb (vocals, guitar), Sam McCann (bass, vocals), Jack Callan (drums), and Zac Stephenson (guitar) — after the departure of founding guitarist Colm O’Reilly in 2024. Before signing to City Slang / Sub Pop, they released a number of singles and EPs under Nice Swan. Their debut full-length album, Letter to Self, launched in January 2024 and garnered critical acclaim for its raw energy and emotional intensity.

The newest album from SPRINTS is All That Is Over, slated for release on September 26, 2025 via City Slang (worldwide) and Sub Pop (North America). The lead single “Descartes” dropped on June 24, 2025, with subsequent singles “Rage,” “Beg,” and “Better” following in the lead-up to the full record. The album is seen as an evolution of their sound — darker, more expansive, drawing from both their punk roots and more cinematic influences. In press coverage, the band has noted that All That Is Over was born of “chaos” and personal transitions, including lineup changes and emotional turmoil.
