From street performers to rockstars, the Italian rock band Maneskin rose to fame after placing second in the 2017 talent show. During the show, Maneskin performed covers of artists such as The Four Seasons, Franz Ferdinand and The Killers, which gave rise to the release of their first EP, Chosen. In 2018, the band released their first Italian-language single, ‘Morirò da re,’ followed by their debut album II ballo della vita. The album and the hit single ‘Torna a casa’ topped the charts in Italy. Maneskin’s music is known for its distinct raspy vocals and funky glam rock sound. Their style is also a notable representative of their music taste, with bright-colored shirts and bodysuits straight out of the 70s. Although they gained initial popularity primarily in Europe, Maneskin’s following quickly spread to the US after their appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Maneskin performed their iconic cover of ‘Beggin’ by The Four Seasons, which was later released as a single and topped charts in the UK and the US.
