About Green Bay Packers Playoff Tickets

The Green Bay Packers are synonymous with victory and playoff glory. Every year, 32 NFL teams compete for the Vince Lombardi Trophy to prove themselves as the best football team in the world. It’s hardly a secret: the namesake of the Super Bowl trophy belongs to the former Packers coach. Lombardi led Green Bay to win the first two Super Bowls -- the franchise’s tenth and eleventh championships.

Lombardi’s Packers dominated the 1960s. Bart Starr led under center; Starr became the first in a lineage of elite Green Bay quarterbacks. Willie Davis, at defensive end, was also gifted, raking in sacks and fumbles and proving an ideal complement to Starr’s brilliant offense. The team won five championships from 1961 to 1967, including the first two Super Bowls in 1966 (35-10, versus the Kansas City Chiefs) and 1967 (aka the Ice Bowl, 33-14 versus the Oakland Raiders).

Green Bay then fell on some hard times until trading for quarterback Brett Favre in 1992. Favre led the franchise to playoff appearances in 1993 and 1994, an NFC Championship appearance in 1995 (his first of three consecutive MVP seasons), and Super Bowl appearances in 1996 and 1997.

Super Bowl XXXI, in 1996, matched the Packers against the New England Patriots, two franchises in the heat of revival. Favre matchup up against Drew Bledsoe, another young gunslinger. The two squads came out firing, and the 24 combined first-quarter points were a record at the time. The one-two punch of an 81-yard touchdown pass to receiver Antonio Freeman and return Specialist Desmond Howard’s 99-yard kickoff return-for-touchdown proved too much for the Pats. Green Bay won Super Bowl XXXI, 35-21.

Aaron Rodgers, next up in the Packers QB history, picked up right where Favre left off.

Rodgers took over in 2008, and by 2010 led the Packers to Super Bowl XLV against the six-time Lombardi champs Pittsburgh Steelers. Green Bay dominated the first half, but Pittsburgh muscled back. 28-25 Green Bay, under-half the fourth quarter left. Kicker Mason Crosby iced the win with two-minutes to go. Final Score: 31-25 Packers. Rodgers won Super Bowl MVP, and Green Bay won their fourth Super Bowl and 13th championship over all.

Call it Green Bay Greatness -- the Packers are always in the conversation. And with a winning legacy and proclivity for discovering franchise talent, expect Green Bay to fight for their title every season.

What makes Green Bay Packers postseason games special for fans?

Buying Green Bay Packers postseason tickets isn’t just about attending another game—it’s about experiencing something bigger. Here’s what makes postseason special compared to the regular season, and why it’s worth securing tickets early:

  • Higher stakes and intensity: Postseason Packers games are when every action counts. The pressure is on, the matchups more meaningful, and the atmosphere electric. If you want to see critical plays, clutch moments, and possibly history being made, this is where it happens.

  • Scarcity and urgency: There are fewer postseason games, and demand shoots up fast. Premium seats fill up quickly. Buying tickets early means better choice in seating, avoiding inflated resale prices, and locking in your spot before the buzz drives them higher.

  • Exclusive perks and priority: Ticket holders often get extras that regular-season attendees don’t always get: priority access to purchase playoff tickets (especially if you’re a season-ticket or membership holder), exclusive merchandise, special events, themed game nights, or upgraded amenities (parking, entrance, etc.).

  • Memorable atmosphere and fan energy: The crowd is more invested, the media presence greater, and the tension more palpable. Postseason Packers games tend to be more electric—fans are louder, anticipation is higher, and the emotional payoff is bigger.

  • Opportunity to witness defining moments: These are the Green Bay Packers fans talk about for years. Comebacks, championships, career highlights—postseason is when legacies are built. If you want to be there for those moments, this is your chance.

  • Better value in some cases: Even though the tickets might cost more, when balanced against what you get (intensity, perks, memorable experience), many fans find postseason Packers tickets fetch greater value per dollar compared to regular season games, especially when you consider resale value or experiential payoff.
