With the recent unveiling of Coachella’s stellar lineup, dedicated festival-goers are starting to plan their weekend at the iconic event. Figuring out where to stay over the course of the festival can seem overwhelming at first. Is camping the way to go? What about that sweet Airbnb in the heart of Indio? Or maybe booking a room at a nearby hotel is more your speed.

Here at TBA, we’ve compiled a list of all of the best options for where to stay while attending Coachella.

Airbnb is a tried and true method for ensuring you and your festival crew stay close to the event while staying in some extraordinary rental spaces. Whether you’re on a budget or planning on going all out for your Coachella getaway, Airbnb has a variety of options that can easily accommodate any size party. This properly nicknamed Desert Oasis loft for two has surrounding views of the mountains and access to three pools, while this cozy Villa is super close to the festival grounds and has free parking on site. You can explore more options here, but don’t wait too long to book! Airbnb’s rise in popularity in recent years means festival-centric locales get reserved quickly.

While Coachella takes place in the desert, tons of hotels are just a hop skip and a jump away from the festival grounds. A huge perk of staying at a nearby hotel is the amount of transportation options. In fact, hotels like the Courtyard Marriot in Palm Springs and the Palm Mountain Resort & Spa offer a free airport shuttle to the festival site during Coachella weekends. If you’re looking for a more upscale stay with a surefire way to get yourself to and from Coachella, staying at one of the nearby hotels is an ideal lodging choice.

Vacation Rentals By Owner, or better known by its acronym VRBO is a hidden gem as far as lodging for Coachella goes. While slightly similar to Airbnb, VRBO allows travelers to choose from a variety of vacation rental-style spaces for a short period of time, making it a perfect lodging option for the festival weekends. With over 3,000 rentals located near Coachella’s festival grounds, VRBO has every style of accommodations available, from hip cottages to swanky bungalows.

Coachella also offers attendees the option to camp on the festival grounds. Festival goers can buy camping packages in advance to secure a spot to pitch their tent for the weekend. For more information, check out our extensive guide on everything you need to know about camping at Coachella.
