It’s been quite a week for the emos (ourselves included): Tom DeLonge is back in Blink-182, 5 Seconds of Summer return to their punk roots and Hayley Williams still has orange hair. Even though the 2022 When We Were Young Festival is still a week away, the festival announced its 2023 lineup.
We know your questions: Is WWWY Festival the next Warped Tour? Why announce next year’s lineup before this year’s event? Will Boys Like Girls play their self-titled in full? And while we don’t have the answers to everything, we do know what you can expect from next week’s festival. Read below for information on When We Were Young Festival tickets, set times, lineup, map and more.
The 2022 When We Were Young Festival will take place October 22-23 and 29, 2022 at Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, NV.

The 2022 When We Were Young Festival lineup includes My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day to Remember, Avril Lavigne, Bright Eyes, Jimmy Eat World, AFI, The Used, Taking Back Sunday and more.
The 2023 lineup includes Green Day, Blink-182, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Offspring, Good Charlotte, 5 Seconds of Summer, All Time Low, Rise Against, Yellowcard, Sum 41 and more.
This year’s headliners are My Chemical Romance and Paramore.

The festival will run most of the day from 11am-12am. Check the official Twitter page for up-to-date information on doors and time changes.
While the festival prohibits backpacks, purses and most bags, you can bring the following:
Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12”
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags, i.e. Ziploc bag or something similar
Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand (and that do not exceed 4.5″ x 5.5”), with or without a handle or strap
If you don’t want to carry your items around the festival grounds, you can rent a locker in the GA, GA+ and VIP areas, depending on your ticket location.
Although it’s autumn, temperatures in Las Vegas remain in the low 80s to mid-70s throughout the day. Nighttime may be a little chillier, but make sure you’re dressed for the hot sun and lots of walking. Think: loose, airy clothing and comfortable sneakers. You should prepare to be warmer than usual, as you’ll be surrounded by other festival-goers in large crowds.
While you can certainly opt for heavy Docs and layers, make sure you’re drinking plenty of water throughout the day. “Emo” may notoriously have a certain look to it, but we feel it’s more of a personality. Dress however you like, as long as it’s comfortable for you.
You can book hotels like Harrah’s and Westgate at a discounted rate through the WWWY Festival. If you haven’t already, you can book a hotel for Weekend 1 and Weekend 2.
There is NO on-site parking for the When We Were Young Festival, so prepare to utilize public transportation or rideshare services. Keep in mind: if you’re staying on The Strip, the festival is an easy walk!
WWWY Festival has a Transportation Lot located across from Circus Circus Hotel & Resort. Rideshare services (like Uber or Lyft), taxis and limousines must drop you off at this lot.
If you’d prefer public transportation, the Las Vegas Monorail can drop you off at the SAHARA Las Vegas Station. Walk across Las Vegas Blvd to enter the festival grounds. You can also take the RTC Deuce Bus Line, but purchasing a ticket through the rideRTC mobile app in advance is a good idea.
