What to expect at Kehlani’s The Kehlani World Tour: Setlist, start time and more

Putting your own name on an album is personal. Putting it on the tour too makes the point impossible to miss. Kehlani's 2026 show is not simply a lap through old favorites: the self-titled "Kehlani" album takes over the center of the night, then songs like “Distraction,” “Nights Like This,” “Toxic” and “After Hours” pull different versions of Kehlani back into the same room. The result, based on the first fan reports from Minneapolis and Milwaukee, is a long R&B bill that saves the headliner for late in the evening and rewards fans who know much more than the newest singles.

With the first four North American shows now complete, fans heading to the remaining dates have something better than pre-tour guesses. Here is what is officially confirmed, what fans at the opening shows have reported and what you should know before your Kehlani concert.

Ultimate guide to Kehlani’s “The Kehlani World Tour”

“The Kehlani World Tour: North America” officially began August 6 at The Armory in Minneapolis, followed by Landmark Credit Union Live in Milwaukee on August 7 and Chicago’s Huntington Bank Pavilion on August 9.

The tour arrives on the heels of Kehlani’s self-titled 2026 album. The standard version contains 17 tracks, including “Folded,” “Back and Forth,” “Anotha Luva,” “No Such Thing,” “Shoulda Never,” “Cruise Control,” “Out The Window,” “Sweet Nuthins” and “Unlearn.” That record is much more central to the show than the original draft suggested.

The two-night Shoreline finish gives the tour an especially fitting ending: Kehlani was raised in Oakland and the final shows bring the run back to the Bay Area.

Who is opening for Kehlani on “The Kehlani World Tour?"

There are four support artists associated with Kehlani's North American tour: Durand Bernarr, Isaia Huron, TheARTI$t and WASEEL. The combination of openings acts varies by city, so fans should confirm for their specific show date.

  • Durand Bernarr is a genre-bending R&B singer and songwriter known for his soulful vocals, theatrical performances and work with Erykah Badu.

  • Isaia Huron brings a husky-voiced blend of alternative R&B, soul and pop shaped by his background as a drummer.

  • Newark-based TheARTI$t pairs contemporary R&B with vulnerable, candid storytelling and lush production.

  • WASEEL is a Palestinian, Bay Area-bred DJ, producer and artist whose music moves between hip-hop, R&B and club influences.

What time does Kehlani go on stage?

Early reports have generally placed Kehlani onstage later in the evening (8:45-9 p.m.), but exact headliner times can vary by support lineup, venue and curfew.

If you want to see the opening acts, the listed event time remains the one that matters.

How long is a Kehlani concert?

On The Kehlani World Tour, Kehlani’s own headline set is running right around two hours.

The live production also includes DJ interludes built from other Kehlani songs. Because they are played from tape rather than performed as full songs, they are better treated as interludes than as part of the 27-song core setlist.

The biggest takeaway is still how heavily the show centers the new album, but the numbers are slightly different from the earlier version of this section. Kehlani’s standard edition contains 17 tracks, including the 31-second spoken “Intro.” Sixteen of those 17 tracks appear as performed songs in the current tour setlist; “Intro” is the only standard-album track not listed as its own performance.

That leaves 11 full songs from earlier releases, including “Serial Lover,” “Hate the Club,” “Toxic,” “Distraction,” “Nights Like This,” “Footsteps,” “After Hours” and “everything.” The result is less a traditional career-spanning greatest-hits show than a live showcase for Kehlani with a substantial second act built around fan favorites from across her catalog.

Does Kehlani play older songs?

Yes. The 2026 Kehlani World Tour is centered on her new self-titled album, but she still plays a substantial group of older songs. Based on the first tour setlists, about 11 of the 27 full songs come from earlier projects. Older songs in the show include “Distraction,” “Piece of Mind,” “Nights Like This,” “Footsteps,” “Hate the Club,” “Toxic,” “Can You Blame Me,” “Open (Passionate),” “Serial Lover,” “After Hours” and “everything.” So it’s not exclusively a Kehlani album show — roughly 40% of the performed songs are throwbacks, spanning SweetSexySavage, While We Wait, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, blue water road and CRASH.

Is there an encore at “The Kehlani World Tour?"

So far, the tour does not appear to have a traditional encore where Kehlani leaves the stage and returns for a separate encore set.

The documented Minneapolis and Chicago setlists run continuously through the final songs, while the Chicago setlist places “Folded” at the end of the sixth and final act, “Home,” rather than in an encore section. The Milwaukee review likewise describes “Folded” as the show’s natural finale.

Based on the shows documented so far, fans should expect “Folded” to close the concert rather than waiting for Kehlani to return for another song afterward

What is “The Kehlani World Tour” production like?

The Kehlani World Tour is a heavily choreographed, theatrical production built around the idea of a night out at a fictional nightclub called The Phoenix.

In Chicago, the show unfolded across six acts — “Morning,” “Home/Walk,” “Club,” “Afters,” “Walk Home” and “Home” — beginning with Kehlani being brought onstage in a bed before waking up with the dancers during “Anotha Luva.” Seven backing dancers are central to the production, with intricate group choreography, solo moments and routines that draw from late-’90s and early-2000s R&B.

The show also incorporates a large video screen, multiple costume changes, DJ-led sections and visual nods to performers like Janet Jackson. Some of the most elaborate moments extend beyond the main stage: during the Milwaukee show, Kehlani performed much of “After Hours” for a roaming camera while moving backstage and toward the rear of the pit, while “Oooh” was performed in a staged backstage alley scene and shown to the audience through the video production.

Overall, it’s closer to a tightly staged R&B arena show than a straightforward singer-at-the-microphone concert, with storytelling, choreography and camera work connecting the songs into one continuous night-out narrative.

When should you arrive for Kehlani’s concert?

Your ideal arrival time depends on whether you want the entire bill or only Kehlani.

If seeing Durand Bernarr, Isaia Huron, TheARTI$t or WASEEL is part of the night for you, plan around the listed event time. If you mainly want Kehlani, she has taken the stage around 2 hours and fifteen minutes after the show start time.

Fans with merch plans should also allow time before the opening acts rather than expecting to walk directly through security and into their seats. Venue doors and parking schedules vary, particularly across a tour that mixes indoor arenas with large outdoor amphitheaters.

What should fans wear to “The Kehlani World Tour?"

The self-titled era gives fans a much better starting point than a generic “R&B concert” dress code.

Fan discussions ahead of the tour range from official-merch outfits to custom, colorful pieces, which fits Kehlani’s broader style without creating the impression that there is one uniform everyone is expected to follow.

Go expressive if you want, but dress for your specific venue. An August amphitheater and a September indoor arena are two different nights. Shoes you can stand in, layers you can carry comfortably and a bag that actually meets venue rules will matter more after several hours than forcing an outfit into a theme.

How to get Kehlani tickets on SeatGeek

  8. Before the show, pull up your mobile tickets, charge your phone and review your venue's entry and bag policy.

Kehlani could have used a self-titled tour to summarize the past. Instead, the early setlist picture suggests something more interesting: nearly the entire night’s center of gravity sits in the present, with Kehlani unfolding almost in full before “Distraction,” “Nights Like This,” “Toxic,” “After Hours” and other older records reopen the doors fans came through years ago. That makes the name on the marquee feel less like a retrospective and more like a declaration. Get there in time for the artists Kehlani chose to bring along, keep an eye on the latest fan reports for your city and be ready when the room finally turns over to Kehlani. This tour has their name on it for a reason.
