Festival season is here, and country fans worldwide are gearing up for one of the biggest events of the year – the Tortuga Music Festival. This three-day beach extravaganza is all about the best in country music, food, drinks and good vibes. What is the Tortuga Music Festival?

The Tortuga Music Festival is an annual event that brings together country music fans from around the world, all while raising awareness about marine conservation. The iconic music festival was created alongside Rock The Ocean in 2013 to raise money and spread the word about marine-related implications such as coral reef degradation, shark conservation, turtle conservation, overfishing and marine pollution. 

Since the inaugural event, Tortuga Music Festival and Rock The Ocean have collectively raised over $3.2 Million for marine initiatives. 

When is the Tortuga Music Festival 2023?

The Tortuga Music Festival will take place from April 14th- 16th, 2023, at Ft. Lauderdale Park in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Gates will open around 12 PM daily and the event will close around 10 PM each night.

How much are Tortuga Music Festival tickets?

Friday and Saturday GA single-day passes for the Tortuga Music Festival start at $421 and run as high as $1,016. Sunday’s passes are slightly cheaper, with GA starting at $246 and running as high as $1,016. VIP tickets are available for $1,949 – $8,541, and Super VIP tickets are currently listed at $15,172. 

If you want the biggest bang for your buck, you’re best off purchasing 3-day passes, as the prices are similar to single-day tickets. GA tickets range from $405 to $1,029. VIP tickets start at $1,922 and run as high as $8,541, and Super VIP tickets are $15,172. 

VIP passes include access to VIP Grove at the Main Stage and VIP Oasis at the Sunset Stage, premium complimentary beer, wine and spirits, private air-conditioned restrooms, access to the pool within VIP grove, exclusive entrance and exit with unlimited re-entry and VIP-only food vendors. 

Super VIP passes include everything listed above, private lounge access with complimentary lunch, dinner and light snacks, on-site concierge service, SVIP gift package, access to the Main Stage SVIP deck and front-of-stage SVIP viewing areas at Main and Sunset stages. 

Note: All prices listed above are with fees included. Children under 6 are free for GA access only. All VIP and SVIP guests, regardless of age, must have their own wristbands to access VIP amenities.

What is the Tortuga Music Festival 2023 lineup?

The 2023 Tortuga Music Festival is locked and loaded with some of the biggest names in Country Music history. Here is a breakdown of the headliners scheduled to play at the Tortuga Music Festival.

On Friday, head over to the Allegiant Main Stage for Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real at 4:10 PM, Cole Swindell at 6:00 PM and Eric Church at 8:25 PM. For a taste of hip-hop, head over to the Sunset Stage at 5:00 PM for Wiz Khalifa, followed by the iconic Brett Young at 7:00 PM. 

Saturday’s Main Stage headliners include Jameson Rodgers at 4:10 PM, Carly Pearce at 6:00 PM and superstar Shania Twain at 8:25 PM. At the Sunset Stage, you will find The Wallflowers closing out the evening at 7:00 PM. 

On closing day, the Main Stage will feature Niko Moon at 4:10 PM, Jake Owen at 6:00 PM and Kenny Chesney at 8:25 PM. Head on over to the Sunset Stage for Collie Budz at 5:00 PM and Justin Moore at 7:00 PM. 

Tips and tricks for attending Tortuga Music Festival

When it comes to preparing for music festivals, we know just how important it is for you to be fully prepared. Here are some tips and tricks for attending Tortuga Music Festival 2023. 

What hotels are near Tortuga Music Festival?

If you don’t live in Ft. Lauderdale, you may want to consider staying at a nearby hotel. Tortuga teamed up with Quintrooms, making your hotel search easier than ever. We recommend staying at the Riverside Hotel, Hilton Marina or Gallery One DoubleTree. 

Does Tortuga Music Festival offer transportation?

The Tortuga Music Festival offers two types of transportation – Water Taxi and Rideshare. If you’re staying at the Riverside Hotel, Hilton Marina or Gallery One DoubleTree, a Water Taxi will be available to and from the festival. The boats will arrive every 20-30 minutes and run from 11 AM to 11 PM. Please note that pre-purchase is required and 3-day passes are available for $75. Rideshare pick-up and drop-off locations have yet to be released, but all primary rideshare services, such as Lyft and Uber, will be available. Be sure and check back for updated information as the festival nears.

As for parking – there will be no parking at the music festival, but local parking lots will be available nearby. 

What should I wear to the Tortuga Music Festival?

Let’s discuss preparing and staying comfortable at the Tortuga Music Festival. Many Tortuga festival goers will be wearing shorts and bathing suits. If your outfits are breathable and flowy, you should be good. Make sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to help shield you from the intense heat. Shoes are also recommended. 

Tortuga Music Festival Pro-Tips 

Here are some additional tips to help you prepare for the Tortuga Music Festival:

  • All attendees must register their wristbands before attending. You can register wristbands on the Tortuga Festival App or their website. 

  • Cashless registration is optional but highly encouraged.

  • You must have your ID to purchase and consume alcohol regardless of wristband registration.

  • The festival is NON-cash, and there will be no ATMs available. 

  • Lockers are on-site and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservation is required. 

  • Attendees can bring one reusable gallon-sized back full of snacks. You must check Tortuga’s official site for the complete list of approved and banned items.
