Outside Lands 2026 guide: Set times, lineup and festival tips

Aug 5, 2026

·

Mary Callahan

Outside Lands returns to Golden Gate Park in a big way in 2026, bringing Charli xcx, The Strokes, RÜFÜS DU SOL and a packed supporting lineup to one of the signature festival settings in the country.

With performances spread across multiple stages, the 2026 schedule gives attendees plenty of ways to shape each day around their favorite artists, explore smaller stages and discover something unexpected along the way. Death Cab for Cutie is even playing two separate sets on Sunday, creating additional flexibility for fans building their final-day plans.

Beyond the music, Outside Lands 2026 features 100 Bay Area restaurants, a new Snack Series, Wine Lands, Beer Lands, Cocktail Magic and several new festival experiences.

Whether you are attending all three days or building a single-day plan around one headliner, here is what to know about the Outside Lands 2026 lineup, set times, tickets, transportation and festival policies.

Everything to know about Outside Lands 2026

Outside Lands 2026 takes place Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9 in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Gates open at 11 a.m. each day, music begins at noon and performances end by 10 p.m.

The festival is open to all ages, although areas such as Grass Lands and some Night Shows have separate age restrictions.

Outside Lands 2026 lineup

The 2026 lineup moves between pop, indie rock, hip-hop, R&B, electronic music, hardcore and singer-songwriter sets. Performances take place across Lands End, Twin Peaks, Sutro, Panhandle, SOMA, Dolores’, Duboce Triangle and Cocktail Magic.

Charli xcx leads Friday, The Strokes headline Saturday and RÜFÜS DU SOL closes Sunday. The supporting lineup includes The xx, Baby Keem, Turnstile, GRIZTRONICS, Djo, Labrinth, Empire of the Sun, PinkPantheress, Death Cab for Cutie, GloRilla, Ethel Cain, Modest Mouse, Clipse, Lucy Dacus, Wet Leg, Tinashe, Sierra Ferrell and Lane 8.

Friday, August 7 lineup highlights

Friday is built around Charli xcx’s Lands End headlining set, with several major alternatives performing simultaneously across the park.

Other Friday highlights include Turnstile, GRIZTRONICS — the collaboration between GRiZ and Subtronics — Labrinth, GloRilla, Clipse, Tinashe, Wet Leg, Modest Mouse, Sierra Ferrell, Geese and Romy performing a DJ set.

Saturday, August 8 lineup highlights

Saturday brings the weekend’s toughest indie-rock decision, with The Strokes and The xx performing on opposite sides of the park during overlapping closing slots.

Djo, PinkPantheress, Dijon, Ethel Cain, Lucy Dacus, Ben Böhmer, Lane 8, Audrey Hobert, Snow Strippers and DJ Trixie Mattel are also scheduled throughout the day.

Sunday, August 9 lineup highlights

RÜFÜS DU SOL closes Lands End on Sunday while Baby Keem, Death Cab for Cutie and Boris Brejcha headline other areas at nearly the same time.

Sunday’s lineup also includes Empire of the Sun, Mariah the Scientist, Disco Lines, Not for Radio, The Temper Trap, Jade, Boys Noize, Frost Children and a second Death Cab for Cutie performance shortly after the festival opens.

Who is headlining Outside Lands 2026?

Outside Lands has one primary Lands End headliner each night, although several other stages continue programming through the same closing window.

Day

Lands End headliner

Scheduled time

Friday, August 7

Charli xcx

8:40–approximately 10 p.m.

Saturday, August 8

The Strokes

8:35–9:55 p.m.

Sunday, August 9

RÜFÜS DU SOL

8:25–9:55 p.m.

Set times are subject to change. The official Outside Lands app and online schedule should be treated as the final sources for day-of adjustments.

Outside Lands 2026 set times and performer schedule

The complete Outside Lands schedule was released July 30. This year’s programming extends beyond the five primary music stages to include Dolores’, Duboce Triangle and Cocktail Magic, so it is worth using the official app to save sets and map your route before entering the park.

The tables below cover the biggest acts, closers and scheduling conflicts rather than every performance.

Friday set times

Friday’s schedule forces some early choices between GloRilla and Tinashe, followed by Labrinth and Clipse. The evening ends with Charli xcx, GRIZTRONICS, Modest Mouse and HYPERBEAM all playing during overlapping closing windows.

Artist

Stage

Set time

GloRilla

Lands End

5:15–6 p.m.

Tinashe

Twin Peaks

5:10–6 p.m.

Labrinth

Lands End

6:30–7:40 p.m.

Clipse

Twin Peaks

6:45–7:35 p.m.

Turnstile

Sutro

7:20–8:20 p.m.

Charli xcx

Lands End

8:40–approximately 10 p.m.

GRIZTRONICS

Twin Peaks

8:25–9:55 p.m.

Modest Mouse

Sutro

8:50–9:50 p.m.

HYPERBEAM

SOMA

8:25–9:55 p.m.

Fans prioritizing Charli xcx should move toward Lands End well before Turnstile finishes. The walk from Sutro to the main stage and the crowd forming for the Friday headliner make a last-minute stage change difficult.

Saturday set times

Saturday has one of the toughest decisions of the weekend. The Strokes headline Lands End from 8:35 to 9:55 p.m. while The xx play Twin Peaks from 8:10 to 9:25 p.m. The two stages are on opposite sides of the festival grounds, leaving little realistic chance of seeing both complete performances.

Set time

Ethel Cain

Lands End

5:20–6:20 p.m.

Dijon

Twin Peaks

6:30–7:20 p.m.

Djo

8:25–9:55 p.m.

The Strokes

Lands End

8:35–9:55 p.m.

PinkPantheress

Sutro

8:45–9:45 p.m.

Fans trying to split The xx and The Strokes should decide which artist matters more before the sets begin. Leaving Twin Peaks after only a few songs may still mean arriving at a packed Lands End well into The Strokes’ performance.

Sunday set times

Sunday ends with a four-way split between RÜFÜS DU SOL, Baby Keem, Death Cab for Cutie and Boris Brejcha.

Death Cab for Cutie also performs an earlier set at Sutro from 12:40 to 1:30 p.m., giving fans a way to see the band without sacrificing one of the other Sunday closers. The daytime and nighttime performances are listed as separate sets rather than a continuation of the same show.

Baby Keem

Empire of the Sun, Mariah the Scientist and Not for Radio also have overlapping evening performances before the headliners. Fans who want the complete RÜFÜS DU SOL set should begin moving toward Lands End immediately after their previous priority performance.

Food and drinks at Outside Lands 2026

Outside Lands’ 2026 Taste of the Bay Area lineup includes 100 restaurants representing 53 cuisines, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices available throughout the park.

New and returning participants include Original Joe’s, Perry’s, Balboa Cafe, Nobu, Copra, Meski, Restaurant Naides and collaborations from Wise Sons with Outta Sight Pizza, Reem’s with Lion Dance Cafe and Jaji with Tallboy.

The new Snack Series

The 2026 Snack Series offers smaller dishes from more than 20 restaurants, with each participating item priced at $16 or less. Options include a half lamb quesabirria flatbread wrap from Reem’s and a half pizza bagel from Wise Sons and Outta Sight Pizza.

Seven restaurants are also serving eight limited-edition dishes created specifically for the festival. Quantities are restricted each day, so fans targeting a particular limited item should visit early.

Cocktail Magic includes six themed bars in Lindley Meadow, along with roaming magicians and its own programming stage. This year’s bars include Tasting Menu, Buttery Tipple, Everybody’s Tavern, Dive Bar, En Vogue and Hello Yellow.

General Outside Lands FAQs

From wristbands and transportation to bag rules, accessibility and re-entry, these answers cover the practical details to know before heading to Golden Gate Park.

Outside Lands wristbands and box office information

Your Outside Lands wristband is your ticket. It should be registered before arriving, worn throughout the festival and treated like cash. Wristbands cannot be loosened after being tightened and should not be cut, twisted or removed.

A 3-day pass uses one wristband for the entire weekend, meaning individual days from the same pass cannot be divided among different people.

Official tickets purchased after July 28 must be picked up at the Outside Lands box office in Marx Meadow near 25th Avenue and Fulton Street. Front Gate purchasers need a valid government-issued ID for pickup. Resale buyers should instead follow the delivery and pickup instructions attached to their specific order.

How to get to Outside Lands

There is no general festival parking at Golden Gate Park. Outside Lands recommends leaving your car at home because surrounding neighborhood parking is reserved for residents and temporary restrictions will be enforced.

Take Muni

Muni is one of the simplest options for reaching Golden Gate Park. The 5 Fulton and 5R Fulton Rapid buses travel from downtown to Fulton Street and 30th Avenue, while extra N Judah trains are scheduled throughout the weekend.

After the festival, special 5X Civic Center Express buses will run from Fulton Street and 30th Avenue to the Civic Center and UN Plaza BART area. Additional N Judah service will also continue after the performances.

Use the official festival shuttle

Prepaid Outside Lands shuttles travel between Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and the festival’s South Gate.

Shuttles begin operating at 11 a.m. each day and continue throughout the day, although service is more limited between 5 and 8 p.m. The final outbound shuttle leaves Bill Graham Civic Auditorium at 8 p.m. Return service continues until one hour after the music ends.

Anyone using the shuttle should exit through the South Tunnel or Grass Lands side of the festival. There is no shuttle pickup on the north side of the grounds.

Use rideshare pickup zones

Lyft is the official rideshare partner for Outside Lands. The designated pickup and drop-off areas are at Balboa Street and 30th Avenue near George Washington High School and on Irving Street between 25th and 27th avenues.

Traffic around Golden Gate Park will be heavy before and after the festival. Walking several blocks away from the gates before requesting a ride may make pickup easier, but attendees should stay within well-lit areas and use the official zones whenever possible.

Bike to Golden Gate Park

Free self-park bicycle parking is available in designated areas near the festival. Lyft Bike stations are positioned near the North Gate on JFK Drive and near the South Gate on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Bicycles are not allowed inside the festival grounds, so riders need to use one of the designated parking areas before entering.

Outside Lands entrance gates

Choosing the correct gate can save a significant amount of walking before your first set.

Parking at Outside Lands

Outside Lands does not provide general event parking. Street parking in the Richmond and Sunset neighborhoods is extremely limited, reserved areas are enforced and vehicles blocking driveways or violating temporary restrictions may be ticketed or towed.

Parking farther from the park and completing the trip by Muni is more reliable than circling the surrounding neighborhoods. Fans staying downtown can also take transit to Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and use the official shuttle from there.

What to bring to Outside Lands

Golden Gate Park can shift from sunny and comfortable to cold, windy and foggy within the same afternoon. A light jacket or packable layer is one of the most important items you can bring, even when the daytime forecast looks mild.

  • Registered festival wristband and government-issued ID

  • Phone, portable charger and screenshots of your schedule, map and transportation plan

  • Empty reusable water bottle

  • Sunscreen, sunglasses and a light jacket or windbreaker

  • Earplugs and comfortable, broken-in shoes

  • Approved bag or hydration pack

  • Card or mobile payment method

Free water refill stations and sunscreen stations are positioned around the festival grounds. Lockers measuring 8 by 12 by 18 inches are also available in GA, GA+ and VIP areas and include a universal phone charger.

Outside Lands bag policy

Outside Lands permits backpacks and bags made from clear plastic, clear vinyl or clear PVC. Small non-clear bags, fanny packs and purses may measure no more than 6 by 8 by 3 inches.

Empty dedicated hydration packs are allowed when the bladder capacity is under 2.5 liters and the pack has no more than one additional pocket. Standard backpacks containing hydration bladders are not permitted. All bags are subject to inspection at entry.

What not to bring to Outside Lands

Prohibited items include non-clear drawstring backpacks, outside alcohol, glass containers, cans, coolers, picnic baskets, umbrellas, chairs, stools, wagons, large inflatables, hammocks, tents, drones, selfie sticks, tripods, flags and totems.

GoPros, audio-recording equipment and professional cameras with detachable lenses longer than two inches are also prohibited. Bicycles, skateboards and personal motorized vehicles cannot enter the festival grounds. Weapons, fireworks, open flames and pets other than service animals are not allowed.

Outside liquids are generally prohibited, although empty reusable water containers and approved empty hydration packs may be brought through security.

Is Outside Lands cashless?

Outside Lands is a cashless festival. Credit cards, debit cards and digital payment methods are accepted at points of sale throughout the grounds.

Grass Lands is the exception. The 21-and-older cannabis area accepts cash and has ATMs available.

Are there water refill stations at Outside Lands?

Free water refill stations are located throughout the festival grounds. Bring an empty reusable container and fill it after passing through security.

Outside Lands also has hand sanitizer and sunscreen stations placed around the park.

What are Outside Lands Night Shows?

Outside Lands Night Shows are separately ticketed concerts held at venues around San Francisco. A festival wristband does not provide admission to these performances.

The 2026 Night Shows lineup includes GRiZ at The Independent, Modest Mouse at the Castro Theatre, Clipse at The Independent, Ben Böhmer at The Independent, ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U at 1015 Folsom, Goldie Boutilier at The Independent, Sports at Rickshaw Stop and camoufly at The Great Northern.

Several Night Shows are already sold out, while availability for others may change during festival week.

Accessibility at Outside Lands

The designated ADA entrance is at 36th Avenue and JFK Drive. The Access Center is located immediately inside that entrance and can provide accessibility information, wristbands for designated viewing platforms, assistive listening devices, power-wheelchair charging and access to golf cart transportation.

Accessible viewing platforms are available at Lands End, Twin Peaks and Sutro. Golden Gate Park includes paved roads, grass, sandy pathways and uneven dirt surfaces, so attendees with mobility needs should plan routes before traveling between stages.

Can you leave Outside Lands and re-enter?

General re-entry is not allowed. Each wristband may normally be scanned into the festival once per day.

Anyone who needs to leave because of an emergency or serious issue must speak with an entrance supervisor before exiting and be formally scanned out. Leaving without completing that process may prevent re-entry later that day.

Best tips for attending Outside Lands 2026

Download the official app and save your priority sets before Friday, then screenshot the schedule, festival map and return route in case cell service slows.

Choose one or two must-see performances each day, but leave room to explore smaller stages, food areas and festival experiences along the way. It also helps to enter through the gate closest to your first stage, refill your water before the evening crowds build and plan meals outside the busiest dinner window.

Bring a layer even if the daytime forecast looks warm. Before the headliner begins, confirm which side of the park you need to exit from for your shuttle, transit route or rideshare pickup zone.

Finally, do not tighten your wristband until it fits comfortably. Once it locks into place, it cannot be loosened.
