It’s always a fun time when you head to the ballpark to watch an MLB baseball game. The game has so many incredible players across the league, and even teams off to colder starts to the year have plenty of time to get things turned around as the calendar flips from April to May. But how about landing some awesome merch just for walking through the gates? That’s not a bad deal, if you ask me.
There are so many awesome giveaways taking place this month that we’d run out of space if we listed them all. So we’ll highlight 20 that caught our eye, be it bobbleheads or some more practical items.
With SeatGeek serving as the Official Ticket Marketplace of MLB, here are some of the most intriguing giveaways for May that are worth planning a trip to the park around.
Bobbleheads are always a hot commodity, and teams always do an excellent job highlighting their star players.
San Diego Padres: Mason Miller bobblehead (first 40,000 fans) – May 7 against St. Louis Cardinals
The Padres are no strangers to having dominant closers, with Trevor Hoffman playing most of his Hall of Fame career in San Diego. The team celebrates its new closer, Miller, with this awesome bobblehead that highlights Miller’s electric fastball with on-brand flames. Miller is off to an unreal start to the year, and he now has the bobblehead to match.
Kansas City Royals: Rock, Paper, Scissors bobblehead (first 20,000 fans) – May 8 against Detroit Tigers
This is a fun one to highlight two teammates in Bobby Witt Jr. and Vinnie Pasquantino. The two celebrate big moments by playing Rock, Paper, Scissors, and that celebration is on full display in this fun bobblehead that fans can take home on May 8.
Tampa Bay Rays: Junior Caminero City Connect bobblehead (first 10,000 fans) – May 30 against Los Angeles Angels
Caminero may be just 22 years old, but he’s already among the top sluggers in the game. Rays fans can take home a bobblehead of the star third baseman to cap off the month of May, and it features Caminero rocking the team’s City Connect uniforms, which are always a big deal.
Current players aren’t the only ones who get cool bobbleheads. Teams are honoring franchise legends and historic moments with a few killer bobbleheads this month.
St. Louis Cardinals: Stan Musial military bobblehead (first 15,000 fans 13 and up) – May 16 against Kansas City Royals
Stan “The Man” Musial is arguably the greatest player to ever don a Cardinals uniform, but did you know he also left the team just two years after winning NL MVP to join the Navy? Musial missed all of the 1945 season for his military service, and he promptly won MVP upon his return in 1946. The Cardinals are celebrating this franchise icon’s military service with a special bobblehead depicting Musial in his Navy uniform.
Cleveland Guardians: Rajai Davis Game 7 home run bobblehead (first 15,000 fans) – May 16 against Cincinnati Reds
Davis hit what appeared to be the biggest home run in Cleveland history in the eighth inning of Game 7 of the World Series. Down two to the Cubs, Davis – who hit just 12 homers that year – hit a game-tying home run that helped force extra innings. The moment is still historic and epic, even if the Cubs wound up winning. Davis’ race around the bases is featured here in this awesome collectible.
Boston Red Sox: Roger Clemens 20K double bobblehead (first 7,500 fans) – May 22 against Minnesota Twins
A memory so nice they feature him twice. Roger Clemens was the first pitcher to record 20 strikeouts in a nine-inning MLB game, and the Red Sox will honor that feat on May 22 with this bobblehead giveaway for the first 7,500 fans. There’s not one but two Clemens on the bobblehead, with one of him looking in for the sign and the other of him celebrating after his final strikeout of the day.
Chicago Cubs: Ryne Sandberg bobblehead (first 10,000 fans) – May 24 against Houston Astros
The Cubs lost a legend last year when Sandberg, a 10-time All-Star and MLB Hall of Famer, passed away. The Cubs will honor “Ryno” on May 24 with this limited edition bobblehead, which the first 10,000 fans will take home. Sandberg is shown with his MVP trophy and pile of nine Gold Gloves.
These bobbleheads are cool and interesting and don’t fall into either of the categories listed above. I’d sure like one, though!
Baltimore Orioles: Tupac bobblehead (first 15,000 fans) – May 8 against Athletics
Tupac may be known for his West Coast roots, but he also had deep ties to the Baltimore area, living in the city during his teenage years and attending the Baltimore School for the Arts. Tupac is shown wearing a black Orioles jersey while holding a bat and donning a matching black bandana.
Texas Rangers: Captain’s Kubota bobble (first 10,000 fans) – May 11 against Arizona Diamondbacks
I’m a big mascot guy, and I like seeing them do cool things. Well, this bobblehead has the Rangers’ mascot Captain riding a Kubota tractor. That’s pretty rad, if you ask me, and hey, the lovable horse is even waving a Rangers flag for good measure.
Mother’s Day 2026 is Sunday, May 10, and what better way to celebrate the moms out there than a trip to the park? And hey, if you can get some cool stuff along the way then even better!
Arizona Diamondbacks: Mother’s Day jersey (15,000 moms) – May 10 against New York Mets
If you’re a mom who’s a Diamondbacks fan, May 10 is a great day to head to the park as the team is giving out special pink and white team jerseys for Mother’s Day. These will be handed out to the first 15,000 moms for the team’s game against the Mets.
San Francisco Giants: Quilted tote bag (15,000 fans) – May 10 against Pittsburgh Pirates
This isn’t Mother’s Day specific necessarily, but it’s still an awesome giveaway on Mom’s Day. The Giants have 15,000 quilted tote bags they’re handing out on May 10, which is a perfect item for moms, dads and whoever else is heading to the park that day.
After winning it all, the Dodgers are giving fans another way to celebrate their championship season with a World Series-themed giveaway.
Los Angeles Dodgers: World Series replica trophy (first 40,000 fans) – May 11 against San Francisco Giants
The Dodgers have a ton of awesome giveaways centered around their 2025 World Series title, be it special edition bobbleheads or, on May 11, replica World Series trophies. This is a unique item that really only works if you won it all the previous season, so Dodgers fans have plenty of reasons to head to the park on May 11 when their team faces the rival Giants.
Some MLB giveaways are more than collectibles, with useful items like clear bags making game day easier for fans heading through the gates.
Seattle Mariners: Hello Kitty clear crossbody bag (first 20,000 fans) – May 15 against San Diego Padres
Athletics: Clear crossbody bag (while supplies last) – May 16 against San Francisco Giants
Stadiums have strict rules about what kinds of bags you can and can’t bring into an event, and for good reason. Sometimes you need more than just your pockets to carry in what you need, and a clear crossbody bag certainly is useful for any and all fans heading to the park. A pair of AL West teams are giving these items away this month, with the Mariners handing out 20,000 bags on May 15 and the A’s doing so a day later while supplies last.
Hats – baseball hats in particular – are cool. Teams give hats away all the time, and they’re usually regular baseball caps. But the Blue Jays and Astros have some very different types of hats available for fans this month.
Toronto Blue Jays: Blue Jays Barbie reverse bucket hat (first 15,000 fans) – May 9 against Los Angeles Angels
May 9 is Barbie Day at the Rogers Centre, as the team has declared that the stadium is transforming into a Barbie dreamland. The first 15,000 fans in attendance will get an awesome reversible bucket hat that celebrates both the team and Barbie. One side is blue with a slight pink accent on the brim and the other side is pink with all sorts of other accessories. This is sure to be a popular day at the park.
Houston Astros: Cowboy baseball hat (10,000 fans) – May 16 against Texas Rangers
I’d recommend looking this one up as words don’t do it justice. We all know what a baseball hat looks like, and we also know what a cowboy hat looks like. This giveaway combines the two, with the crown being the classic baseball cap style and the brim going all the way around like a classic cowboy hat. This is a must-get for Astros fans.
Several MLB teams are using special giveaway nights to support cancer awareness and honor survivors, families and fans affected by the disease.
Detroit Tigers: Pink jersey giveaway (limited quantities) – May 16 against Toronto Blue Jays
The Tigers will host a special Strike Out Cancer Weekend beginning on May 15 against the Blue Jays, and fans can get a special pink Tigers jersey at the gates on Saturday the 16th. This is part of the team’s Pink Out At The Park night for breast cancer survivors. Friday the 15th is All Cancer Awareness Night and Sunday the 17th will be Childhood Cancer Awareness Day.
Baseball jerseys are always popular, but crossover designs add a fresh twist by blending MLB style with looks inspired by other sports.
New York Yankees: Giancarlo Stanton basketball jersey (first 18,000 fans) – May 22 against Tampa Bay Rays
We’ve seen a lot of teams give out team jerseys in the style of hockey sweaters, and this Yankees promotion instead crosses baseball with basketball. Yankees fans can get a Yankees-styled basketball jersey with Giancarlo Stanton’s name and number 27 on the back when New York hosts Tampa Bay on the 22nd.
Young fans can get in on the giveaway fun too, with collectible items that make a trip to the ballpark even more memorable.
Milwaukee Brewers: Brewers pennant (first 5,000 fans 14 and under) – May 24 against Los Angeles Dodgers
Young Brewers fans have plenty of reasons to be excited to head to the ballpark, but May 24 is especially noteworthy. Milwaukee will wrap up its series against the defending champs, the Dodgers, and the first 5,000 fans 14 and under get a special Brewers pennant to take home. As a lifelong baseball fan, I loved covering my walls with pennants, so this is a giveaway near and dear to my heart.
Some promotions are memorable because they are unlike anything else on the schedule, and this month’s most unusual giveaway is built around a classic baseball moment.
New York Mets: Bobby Valentine glasses-and-fake-mustache giveaway (first 15,000 fans) – May 29 against Miami Marlins
This is up there for my favorite giveaway of the season along with the Pope Hat the White Sox will give away later this summer. For some context, Valentine was the Mets’ manager in the late-90s and early-2000s. In 1999, he was ejected from a game but returned to the dugout wearing dark glasses and a fake mustache while out of uniform. It’s a gag reel moment, and fans will get their own Valentine disguise kit of glasses and a fake mustache on May 29.
