2025 Sports Equinox: Schedule and How to Get Tickets for Every NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL Game

It doesn’t get much better for sports fandom than whenever there is a Sports Equinox on the calendar. A Sports Equinox is a day when there is at least one game scheduled for all four major American sports leagues: NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL. There is only one for 2025, and it’s today on Monday, Oct. 27.

Let’s go through the key games in every league that are set to take place on one of the biggest sports days of the year. We’ll include SeatGeek’s event pages for each if you’re interested in buying tickets and attending a live game during the 2025 Sports Equinox.

NFL: Washington Commanders at Kansas City Chiefs (8:15 p.m. ET)

The Chiefs enter this primetime showdown playing their best football of the season, as they’ve won four of their past five games. Patrick Mahomes has looked like the NFL MVP frontrunner so far, as he’s led Kansas City to at least 28 points in four straight contests. The Chiefs will welcome the Commanders to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night, with Washington looking for a signature win that would even the team’s record to 4-4 on the season.

MLB: Toronto Blue Jays at Los Angeles Dodgers (8 p.m. ET)

The Dodgers and Blue Jays split the first two games of the 2025 World Series at the Rogers Centre, and now the series shifts to Los Angeles for Games 3, 4 and 5. Game 3 takes place on Monday, and the Dodgers have won five of their six home playoff contests so far this postseason. Los Angeles is looking to become the first MLB team to repeat as a World Series champion since the New York Yankees did it three times in a row from 1998-2000. Meanwhile, Toronto is aiming for its first championship since 1993.

NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder at Dallas Mavericks (8 p.m. ET)

There are 11 NBA games on tap for Monday, Oct. 27, including this affair where the defending NBA champion Thunder will wrap up a three-game road trip at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. On the other side, the Mavericks will look to score a monster victory at home against the top team in the league. This clash features a lot of star power, headlined by Oklahoma City’s reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Dallas’ star rookie, No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg.

NBA: Denver Nuggets at Minnesota Timberwolves (9:30 p.m. ET)

One of the top recent rivalries in the NBA is between the Nuggets and Timberwolves. These teams have played each other 27 times, including in the postseason, since the start of the 2020-21 season, with the Timberwolves holding a 14-13 edge in those contests. Will we see another tight battle between these two contenders on Monday at the Target Center? Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic already has been named NBA MVP three times, and can become just the sixth NBA player ever with four if he can add one more. Timberwolves star guard Anthony Edwards is vying for his first MVP award, and started off the 2025-26 campaign with a stellar 41-point performance.

NBA: Portland Trail Blazers at Los Angeles Lakers (10:30 p.m. ET)

If you’re feeling bold and want to be a Sports Equinox legend, Los Angeles is the only city with multiple games from different leagues on Monday, Oct. 27. Game 3 of the World Series between the Blue Jays and Dodgers starts at 8 p.m. ET, with Trail Blazers at Lakers from Crypto.com Arena set to tip at 10:30 p.m. ET. Now this would likely require either leaving Blue Jays-Dodgers before the game ended or arriving late to Trail Blazers-Lakers, but just saying it is possible to see both in person.

Other NBA games on Monday, Oct. 27: Cleveland Cavaliers at Detroit Pistons (7 p.m. ET)

Orlando Magic at Philadelphia 76ers (7 p.m. ET)

Atlanta Hawks at Chicago Bulls (8 p.m. ET)

Brooklyn Nets at Houston Rockets (8 p.m. ET)

Boston Celtics at New Orleans Pelicans (8 p.m. ET)

Toronto Raptors at San Antonio Spurs (8 p.m. ET)

Phoenix Suns at Utah Jazz (9 p.m. ET)

Memphis Grizzlies at Golden State Warriors (10 p.m. ET)

NHL: St. Louis Blues at Pittsburgh Penguins (7 p.m. ET)

Penguins fans already were treated to history this season, as Sidney Crosby passed Mario Lemieux for the most total points (regular season and playoffs) in franchise history, breaking the record on Tuesday, Oct. 21 in a home game against the Vancouver Canucks. The 38-year-old Crosby is looking to add at least one more Stanley Cup to a legendary career after having already won it in 2009, 2016 and 2017. The Penguins will face off against the Blues, who will make it tough for Crosby and Pittsburgh’s attack to score with top goaltender Jordan Binnington in net.

Other NHL game on Monday, Oct. 27:

Boston Bruins at Ottawa Senators (7:30 p.m. ET)
