Marking five successful years of collaboration, Reading FC will continue to use SeatGeek’s innovative ticketing technology to power its match day experience
SeatGeek, the high-growth technology platform transforming the live event experience for fans, teams and venues, today announced a multi-year renewal with Reading FC of the EFL League One. The renewal extends SeatGeek’s role as the club’s primary ticketing technology partner.
"For several seasons now, we have worked closely with SeatGeek to elevate the ticket-buying experience for our fans and commercial objectives," said Paul Collins, Head of Ticketing at Reading FC. “We’ve seen tangible benefits and results of this partnership and look forward to working closely with SeatGeek going forward.”
After five successful years, Reading FC has committed to extending its partnership with SeatGeek, underscoring both parties’ commitment to enhancing digital ticketing by fast-tracking the adoption of Mobile Season Tickets and Match Tickets – making certain supporters at Select Car Leasing Stadium enjoy an elevated ticket-buying, and overall match day, experience.
"Reading FC is a club built on decades of rich history and steadfast supporter devotion," said Peter Joyce, Managing Director, EMEA at SeatGeek. "When we first began our journey with Reading five years ago, we knew we’d be working with a team dedicated to providing those visiting Select Car Leasing Stadium with a best-in-class match day experience. Fast-forward to today, and we are proud of the strength of our partnership with the shared desire to deliver an unparalleled ticketing experience to those in the stands, as well as the back-office, and we look forward to the exciting future ahead.”
This decision is rooted not only in the innovation behind SeatGeek's backend technology but also in its proven success in collaborating with premier sports organizations across the United Kingdom. Today, SeatGeek’s UK portfolio includes nearly half of the English Premier League (EPL), including Manchester City, Liverpool, and Newcastle United, as well as clubs across the EFL Championship, including Leicester City, Leeds United, Ipswich Town and Stoke City.
Across the pond, the company also works with several clubs within Major League Soccer (MLS), the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and the United Soccer League (USL). SeatGeek is also the league-wide partner of the USL and the recently announced USL Super League.
