About Dijon Tickets
Dijon Duenas, known mononymously as Dijon, is an American singer, songwriter, and producer whose music defies easy categorization. Born on June 9, 1992, in Germany to a Guamanian father and a mother of mixed Black and white heritage, Dijon’s early life was marked by frequent relocations due to his parents' military service. This transient upbringing, spanning locations such as Maryland, California, Hawaii, and Kentucky, instilled in him a sense of adaptability and a broad cultural perspective. He began his musical journey in high school, producing beats on a cracked version of FL Studio and experimenting with lo-fi songcraft using a four-track recorder and guitar. Dijon later studied literature at the University of Maryland, where he and his friends would engage in deep discussions about music, further honing his artistic sensibilities.
In 2015, Dijon formed the R&B duo Abhi//Dijon with his high school friend Abhi Raju. The duo released an EP and an album, both characterized by moody R&B and experimental sounds. After parting ways with Raju, Dijon embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut EP, Sci Fi 1, in 2019, followed by How Do You Feel About Getting Married? in 2020. His solo work blends elements of R&B, folk, and pop, with a focus on emotional vulnerability and introspection. In 2021, Dijon released his debut album, Absolutely, which received critical acclaim for its lo-fi, improvisational style and raw emotional depth. The album's success led to his television debut on The Tonight Show in 2022, where he performed the song "Big Mike's."
Dijon's influence continues to grow, with notable collaborations and projects. He was credited as a songwriter on Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign's track "Stars," which samples his 2019 single "Good Luck." In 2022, his song "Many Times" was featured on former U.S. President Barack Obama's summer playlist. Dijon also featured on the song "Day One" from Bon Iver's 2025 album Sable, Fable and produced and co-wrote several songs on Justin Bieber's 2025 album Swag, including a guest feature on the track "Devotion." His sophomore album, Baby, released on August 15, 2025, showcases his evolving sound and continues to solidify his place in the contemporary music landscape.
