After this app was pushed and shoved to my face by every influencer and public figure I finally budged! And I regret not doing so sooner! Thank you TRISHA PAYTAS! This really is the best app to shop concerts and events! I’ve gone to 5 different concerts this year all thanks to seat geek! I’ve been able to get floor or front row tickets for mayor concerts like Olivia Rodrigo, Nicki Minaj, Gloria Trevi, the Cancrlled pod! My third year buying tickets from SeatGeek. The availability of tickets and low fees along with seat maps and price recommendations can't be beat. Other sites lure you in with a price but the fees can add 25% or more. Also easy to sell tickets when I can't make it. Raphael Saadiq, born Charles Ray Wiggins in Oakland, California, began his music career at a young age, performing with gospel groups and eventually joining Prince’s Parade Tour as a teenager playing bass. His breakout came in the late 1980s as a member of the R&B trio Tony! Toni! Toné!, alongside his brother D’Wayne Wiggins and cousin Timothy Christian Riley. The group gained fame with their soulful fusion of traditional R&B and new jack swing, producing hits like “Feels Good,” “Anniversary” and “It Never Rains (In Southern California).” Their success positioned Saadiq as a major force in the evolving R&B landscape of the early ’90s.
After Tony! Toni! Toné! disbanded in the mid-1990s, Saadiq co-founded the short-lived supergroup Lucy Pearl with Dawn Robinson of En Vogue and Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest. Their self-titled album was a critical success, particularly the hit “Dance Tonight.” Saadiq then launched a solo career, earning praise for his throwback soul sound with modern twists. His 2008 album The Way I See It and 2011’s Stone Rollin’ were especially acclaimed, cementing his reputation as a torchbearer of classic soul. Throughout his solo career, he blended vintage Motown aesthetics with contemporary sensibilities, appealing to both older and younger audiences.
Beyond performing, Saadiq has become an influential producer and songwriter, contributing to a wide range of artists including D’Angelo, Erykah Badu, Solange and John Legend. He has received multiple Grammy nominations and won for his work behind the scenes. Saadiq has also composed music for film and television, notably for Insecure on HBO.
