Home to some of the most successful teams in their sports, the TD Garden in Boston has played the host to some memorable moments in basketball, hockey, and beyond. Opened in 1995, TD Garden was the replacement for the original Boston Garden, which was one of the most storied venues in all of sports. Since opening, TD Garden has lived up to a similar billing, thanks to the success of its main tenants, the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins.

TD Garden has been the host to two NBA Finals series, with the Celtics defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in 2008, with Kevin Garnett's iconic 'Anything is Possible' celebration after the clinching game lasting permanently in the memories of Celtics fans, who saw a long title drought broken in that season. Even when they did not win the championship, that era of Celtics basketball brought countless huge games to TD Garden, including a lengthy rivalry with LeBron James, first during James' stint as a Cleveland Cavalier, then during his time with the Miami Heat, and again during his return to Cleveland.

On the ice, TD Garden has seen some excellent hockey to go along with that brilliant basketball, thanks to the success of the Bruins. The Bruins qualified for the 2011 and 2013 Stanley Cup Finals, winning the 2011 edition of the competition thanks to the red hot goaltending of Tim Thomas, who will go down in Boston sports history after his unbelievable run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
