Since the group was founded back in 2014, $uicideboy$ has helped pave the way for a generation of SoundCloud rappers and artists. Their discography consists of three full-length studio albums and over thirty EPs. The group has a very unique sound that spans multiple genres, including hip hop, punk rap, and horrorcore. Although controversial, their music and lyrics have given them a large following worldwide, with nearly nine million listeners monthly on Spotify. In this post, we take a look at bands and artists who give off a similar vibe and sound that you might like.

Pouya, whose full name is Kevin Pouya, was credited for actually discovering $uicideboy$. He launched his rap career on SoundCloud just a few years prior. With four LPs, seven EPs, and seven mixtapes, he has set himself up to have nearly four million monthly listeners on Spotify. He has collaborated with artists such as Yung Gravy, Denzel Curry, and Ghostmane.

Ghostmane had a slightly different beginning to his career, as his first experience writing and performing music was in metal and hardcore bands. But as time went on, he began to merge the metal influence with his rapping to put himself in his own unique genre. Lyrically, his music is very dark and obscure, touching on sensitive topics such as death and depression. His songs typically have intense and distorted beats, with his unique vocals layered on top.

Lil Peep

Arguably the face of SoundCloud rap, Lil Peep made an immense impact on the genre and the artists that followed him. Despite his unexpected passing back in 2017, his music still has over 12 million monthly listeners, which shows just how many people have resonated with his music. His music doesn’t quite have the dark and heavy beats as the previous artists on this list, but has similar vocal flows.

Xavier Wulf

Another artist dubbed a SoundCloud rapper, Xavier Wulf’s music consists of pounding trap beats and aggressive rapped vocals. One of the unique things about Wulf is his stage performance. During his sets, he will sometimes find himself in the crowd, stage diving and moshing with his fans.

Coming up around the same time as the previous artists, Bones helped lay the groundwork for emo rap. Over the span of his career, he has released more than 80 albums and EPs. His songs feature heavy trap beats along accompanied by his vocals, which feature him both singing and screaming.
